‘La Mesías’, the new Movistar+ venture directed by Los Javis, was also shot in El Maresme.

Noticia. Premiere

In the new Movistar+ series ‘La Mesías’, directed by ‘Los Javis’ we can see many scenes from the Maresme.

The 7-episode series stars, among others, Macarena García, Roger Casamajor, Lola Dueñas, Carmen Machi, Ana Rujas, Albert Pla, Amaia Romero, Nora Navas and Cecilia Roth.

The viral video of a Christian pop music group made up of several sisters impacts the life of Enric, a man marked by a childhood surrounded by religious fanaticism and a mother with messianic delusions.

A large part of the filming took place in different municipalities of the Maresme. In Arenys de Mar, some scenes were recorded at the legendary Johnny’s nightclub; in Mataró, they shot at the Marist Valldemia school and Can Pilé. They also went through the Can Mestres civic center, the CAP and Carrer de la Pergola d’Òrrius; and for several private houses in Caldes d’Estrac, Santa Susanna, Sant Vicenç de Montalt and Sant Andreu de Llavaneres. One of the road tunnels also appears from the latter municipality, as well as the Riera de Pineda road in Tordera.
